The staff is very welcoming. The shared dining area is relaxing, the small buffet for breakfast is fine for the price. There were tea, coffee, milk, bread, jam, butter, cereals, yoghurt, juice, fruit that you can choose from for your breakfast. I appreciated that even I requested a little late(1hr before our arrival) for a small birthday greeting for my husband, the staff really put time and effort for this. A birthday card in an envelope addressing my husband's name and with 2packs(6pcs)of Ferrero chocolates is laid on our bed that really made my husband glad.

2 miles from the centre of Oxford.Taxi to our wedding venue (Exeter College, Turl Street) was £6 which seemed very reasonable compared to our home town (Brighton). But I’m sure there are buses. Didn’t spend much time in Summertown where the guesthouse is but there are lots of useful shops on your doorstep - including Tesco Express, and Marks Simply Food. And very useful on a Saturday night...a mobile kebab van opposite!

The property was in the ideal location for me, only a 15 minute bus journey to Oxford city centre. I was able to park at the front of the property as there was a free space, however on a busier night this may have not been possible. The bed was comfy and I enjoyed the tea and coffee making facilities. The host was welcoming and I had a good choice of continental breakfast options in the morning.

Overall it was a great stay. It was a cosy, well maintained, clean property. We went there for marathon and since this property was on main road, we were informed in advance that the road will be closed and parking will be an issue. The owners were kind enough to arrange the visitors parking ticket for us to park on other streets which is much appreciated.

However, I noticed an electric charging point and had I known this and terms of use, I would have travelled by EV. Great central location. Only 2 parking spaces but was lucky enough to use one. I would have paid extra to book the one near the charge point.
